Brett Matthews, a western Cape Breton native, redefines Americana with influences from R&B to Country, akin to Bon Iver and City & Colour. Though his love for music started at a young age, he later joined Classified's band in 2019, playing nearly 100 shows.  His song "If I Die Today (feat. Classified)" was the second place finalist in the 2023 American Songwriter Contest and has been chosen as a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition.   

OH, BY THE WAY!  HIS DEBUT ALBUM IS OUT NOW!  "Tomorrow" is a mix of everything he grew up listening to, wrapped into a mixed garden genre salad.  There's some amazing collaborations with talented East Coast artists blended in, PRODUCED by CLASSIFIED
